This book is a corporate finance textbook for MBA students and financial managers of multinational companies in Asia, who need to optimize their business portfolio and capital structure. The pace of change in the management environment is accelerating worldwide. Corporate management must understand the current situation, revise their future vision, evaluate strategic alternatives, and select an appropriate strategy to move from the current situation to the future vision. Prof Murafuji was a business school professor at Kyushu University for 21 years, introducing Western concepts and ideas of corporate finance and M&A to the Japanese market through M&A practices, books, TV and radio, and was among the first to teach these ideas to many exchange students from Asian countries.
