◆ 學韓文從了解韓文基本構造開始
韓文不像我們熟悉的ㄅㄆㄇ或ABC，是一種完全「陌生」的文字，學習韓文之前，先了解韓文與其他語言的不同，正式開始學習時才能事半功倍。韓文字母與注音符號ㄅㄆㄇ一樣，分為子音與母音，只是ㄅㄆㄇ只能由上往下書寫，且一個字最多只能由三個注音符號組成（例如：學「ㄒㄩㄝˊ」），而韓文不僅能由上往下書寫，還可以往左右發展形成「方塊字」，最多可以由五個字母組成。因此所謂的「韓語四十音」（包括21個母音與19個子音），才能進而組成一百多個韓文字母。本書的第一單元首先介紹韓文的基本構造、發音規則、子音與母音的結合方式、韓文句型的特色等等，導正讀者把「學中文」與「學英文」的觀念帶入韓文的壞習慣，對韓文有正確的初步認識後，才是打好韓文基礎的第一步。
◆ 從單字「倒過來」學發音，學習效果更快更精準！
本書用10個章節來詳細說明韓文母音與子音，每個章節又分為五個步驟。第一個步驟不立即介紹字母與筆順，而是先用幾個單字搭配mp3的發音，做為學習前的「五分鐘暖身」。例如，第一章先跟著mp3朗讀韓文數字1 ~ 10的唸法，讓讀者先在腦海裡有個印象：
Step 1 - 記字音：聽mp3搭配插圖 →「2」的唸法是[i]。
Step 2 - 記字形：連接「2」與韓文字母的寫法 [|]。
Step 3 - 記細節：詳細解說 [|]的發音方式 →「輕輕拉開你的嘴唇，想像你在微笑的樣子」。
這種「從單字倒過來學發音」的學習方法，就跟我們小時候學國語時的情況一樣，既能快速連結單字與韓文字母、又能學會最正確的發音，且學過一次就不會忘！
◆ 複雜的相似音，皆搭配mp3與嘴型圖示詳細解說
依賴英文音標與注音符號學習韓文發音的讀者，一定會遇見難以分辨許多相似音的情況，又看不懂書中「清音」、「濁音」、「氣音」、「緊音」等的複雜說明。韓文裡，類似 [o] 的音就有非常多種，只用英文音標的 [o] 或注音符號的ㄛ來記憶，是無法正確學會韓文字母發音的。 本書不僅詳細介紹每個發音的正確唸法，更深入解說到發音時嘴巴張開的程度、下巴或舌頭的位置以及嘴唇的形狀等等，並將數個容易搞混的發音集合起來，用嘴型圖示搭配文字加以說明，加強讀者的印象。

韓語不像英文和日文一樣常見於生活之中，對於完全從零開始的初學者來說，韓文字母看起來就是由許多「OOXX」組成的，聽起來總是「yo」結尾，若真的要把這些完全陌生的符號學起來，應該要花不少時間吧？
本書是由在韓國專門培訓韓語教師的吳承恩（Seung-eun Oh）老師所編寫的韓語發音書，內容針對外國人最難學好的韓語四十音詳細解說，不只是強迫讀者記憶「哪個韓文字母＝哪個英文字母」，而是從嘴型、發音的位置、甚至是唇齒之間的關係來詳細解說每個韓文字母發音中細微的不同。
章節一開始不列出韓語四十音對照表與字母習字帖，因為這種「死背+拼命寫」的方式讓人提不起興趣，也記不住。本書的教學法是讓你先聽幾個簡單單字的唸法，單字裡頭就包括了該章節要學的字母；這些單字都非常簡單，例如韓文的數字（韓文數字的唸法與台語非常接近）、韓式食物（包括台灣人耳熟能詳的「泡菜Kimchi」、「石鍋拌飯bi-bim-bap」），對這些單字有了初步印象後，再開始仔細介紹這些單字中的字母發音規則，之後詳細說明發這個音時嘴巴張開的程度、嘴型的變化等等，最後才是學習韓文字母的正確筆順。
